The cathedral is one of the most emblematic Mudejar buildings in Spain and one of the few Spanish cathedrals built in this style. It is considered a monument, but some of its parts - the tower, the roof and the dome - are inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. It was built in the years 1171 - 1587.
