Garcia Sanabria Park
Local name: Parque García Sanabria
The public park Parque García Sanabria is the largest of its kind in the Canary Islands, with an area of over 67 square meters. It presents wonderful specimens of flora, both Canarian and exotic species. Blooming flowers are planted in flower beds throughout the calendar year. Additionally, there are gazebos, fountains and sculptures in the park, which give the place a characteristic charm. The one-of-a-kind flower clock is noteworthy.
The park was established at the beginning of the 20th century. The name of the facility comes from the name of the mayor of Garcia Sanabri, during whose term of office it was decided to create the park. In the 1970s, an international sculpture exhibition was organized in the park. The park was renovated in 2006.
