Huerto de Calixto y Melibea in Salamanca is a romantic garden, a meeting place for lovers. On the grate of the local well, couples hang padlocks - a symbol of their eternal love. The inspiration for its creation was the drama "Celestine," or "Tragicomedia of Callisto and Melibei" from the 15th century by Fernando de Rojas. Different species of Mediterranean flora grow in the garden, including tall palm trees - Canary Date and Washington Threads. You can also admire the sculptures of Agustín Casillas.
