PUERTO DE LA CRUZSpain
El Bollullo Beach
Local name: Playa de el Bollullo
Puerto de la Cruz's El Bollullo Beach is surrounded by rocks and banana groves that provide its visitors with peace and seclusion. A narrow path leads to it, which then becomes a steep staircase. You can only get here on foot.
The beach is covered with dark volcanic sand that contrasts with the clear blue water. It consists of two parts - the main beach, which is 160 meters long, and a small cove with a smaller, 60-meter long beach. From the sea side, the place is not sheltered by anything, so high waves usually appear here. You should also watch out for strong sea currents while swimming.
There is a snack bar directly on the beach, open during the summer season. There are also car parks and several restaurants in the vicinity.
