Port Puerto José Banús is a marina around which shopping centers with numerous shops, restaurants and bars are located. In addition, there are many showrooms selling luxury car brands. The port is a characteristic point of the town and is a frequent place for walking, shopping or dinner, also among celebrities. It's a great and very fashionable place to spend free time. The marina has many yachts belonging to the wealthiest people on the Costa del Sol.
The port was established in 1970 on the initiative of a Spanish real estate developer - José Banús. A very ceremonial opening of the port was graced by the performance of Julio Iglesias. The designer of the entire complex was the famous architect Noldi Schreck, who worked on the development of Beverly Hills.
