Local name: Parque Nacional de Garajonay

Garajonay National Park on the island of La Gomera has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List and has also been declared a biosphere reserve. It is home to the world's largest laurel forest with many hiking trails. The highest point is the Garajonay hill (1487 m above sea level), from which the park takes its name.
