A lighthouse situated on the San Juan Peninsula in the north of Spain. Its construction began in 1861. Initially powered by oil and kerosene lamps, over the years and with the development of technology, it was electrified and equipped with an electromagnetic siren. The lighthouse and its surroundings offer a remarkable vantage point over the mouth of the River Avilés.
