Parque Natural de Corralejo on the island of Fuerteventura has an area of more than 2,600 hectares, the local landscape is dominated by extensive dunes of organic origin - made of fragmented shells and skeletons of various sea creatures. In the middle of the dunes, two large hotel complexes were erected - Riu Tres Islas and Riu Oliva Beach. The park was established in 1982.
