The facade of the bullfighting arena has significant Mudejar influences. The city has a very important tradition related to bullfighting, therefore the first fights in this arena took place in the 16th century. It is considered one of the best arenas in all of Spain. There are also numerous concerts held in the arena. Its popular name is "La Chata".
