Fort of Sao Joao Baptista do Pico

The historic fortress was built at an altitude of 111 m above sea level, thanks to which there is a view of the entire city. Its construction lasted from the beginning of the 17th to the second half of the 18th century. Currently, the fortress belongs to the navy and only part of it has been open to the public.
