Albufeira is one of the few coastal towns of the Algavre region, where the traditional old center of the city has been preserved. It comes mainly from the eighteenth century because earlier buildings were destroyed by an earthquake. White houses stand on the narrow, cobbled streets. Among them are hidden churches and small squares. There are over 100 restaurants and bars in the old town.
