Florian Ceynowa Museum of the Puck Land

Local name: Muzeum Ziemi Puckiej im. Floriana Ceynowy

Department of the Museum of Puck Region is located in a historic, wooden villa from 1922. Commonly called as „Hallerowka” in homage to General Józef Haller, who in the 1920s and 1930s often spent summer holidays here with his family. Present collections are focused mainly on the figure of the General and soldiers of the Blue Army, the Kashubian storyteller and writer – Augustyn Necl, as well as Kashubian art and culture.

Most precious pieces of exhibition consists of souvenirs and personal belongings of General Haller, which was given to the museum by his daughter-in-law. What's interesting about Augustyn Necl's part of exhibition, is the reconstruction of his cabinet, which – as a whole - was relocated from his house to the museum building. The third exhibition presents wooden figures and Genre scenes carved in a raw, linden wood by Leon Golla. The last permanent exhibition shows the development of tourism in the northern part of Kashubian, together with the progress of beach fashion in the beginning of the twentieth century and the interwar period.
