The dam of Lake Czerniańskie in Wisła was built in 1973 at the site of the merger of two streams: Biała Wisełka and Czarny Wisełka. The 37 m long and 270 m long barrier was built primarily for retention purposes.
The dam on Lake Czerniań as a result of damming the waters of two converging streams created a reservoir of drinking water. The design of the tank prevents its recreational use, but does not reduce its popularity among tourists. At the reservoir above the reservoir, illuminated after dark, the voyagers visit the Vistula.
Thanks to the construction of the dam, a reservoir with a capacity of over 4.5 million m3 and an area of over 30 ha was built. It is located in the landscape of the Silesian Beskid and is an additional attraction of this place.
