In the castle's historic walls was once the seat of von Krockow. Today the castle functions as a luxury hotel and a sight for tourists. The castle also has a Polish-German museum. The castle building surrounds the magnificent park.
Since the 14th century the castle in Krokowa was inhabited by members of the von Krockow family, one of the oldest noble families of Pomerania. At the end of the 19th century the then owner of the castle left Poland, and his successors returned to their own estate only after nearly 50 years. After the Second World War the castle began to serve as the seat of various municipal institutions. In the 90s Albrecht von Krockow and the mayor of the municipality turned the castle into a hotel, a restaurant and a museum.
The Regional Museum in Krokowa contains exhibits showing the history of Kaszuby, Poles, Germans and Olendras. The collection mainly includes the memorabilia of von Krockow family and ethnographic collections.
