Gardens Hortulus Spectabilis - Labyrinth

Gardens Hortulus Spectabilis in Dobrzyca is a tourist attraction which was opened for visits in 2003. It consists of the plant maze, observation tower, and food courts.

The main maze covers the area of slightly over 1ha. The east-west wall is 101,5m long while north-south wall has 100m. Its hornbeam walls are 2m long. A total length of the passages amounts to over 3,2m. It's a central point of the gardens.

The Hortulus Observation Tower is 19,1m tall while the observation deck is located at 18m. The tower is made of openwork, steel structures. Its shape resembles a DNA double helix. The observation deck can be accessed by two separate stairs - entrance and exit stairs. Both have 102 steps.

There is a plan to expand the area of the gardens to 30ha. Currently, 7ha is available for sightseeing. The most important attractions are Gardens of Magic, Energy, Time and Space, Four Seasons, Clocks, and Celtic Calendar.
