"Z Jednej Jedli" House

Z Jednej Jedli House is located in the central part of Chochołów, among over 100 monumental huts. Though all of the Chochołów's buildings are uncommon, Z Jednej Jedli House is the most unique - its entire front wall was made of one fir tree trunk.

Z Jednej Jedli House under number 24 was built at the end of the 19th century. The major part of it was constructed from the trunk of a massive fir tree which grew on Ostrzysz.

The Chochołów's hut is part of the bigger complex of old buildings. The oldest ones are over 100 years old. The complex of wooden folk architecture is called "Jewel of Podhale" for a reason. The old wooden houses are of the same style and perfectly fit into the picturesque area.
