Matka Canyon

Local name: Клисура Матка

The gorge measures nearly 18 km long and runs along the Treska River. There are 10 caves with a length of 20 to 176 m. 1000 plant species grow here, of which about 200 are endemic. In addition, 119 species of butterflies and 140 species of moths live here. There are 3 monasteries and 2 churches in the gorge.
