Curepipe is a city in the central part of Mauritius, famous for its tea cultivation and Trou aux Cerfs, which rises right next to it in the extinct crater.

The city has a commercial character and is a local administrative center. Its surroundings are mountainous and wooded, with numerous tea plantations. The most beautiful areas include the Black River Gorge National Park. You can watch here, among others Chamarel Waterfall and wonderful, watershed stretches of mountain rivers.

Visiting Curepipe does not take too much time as there are almost no monuments here. The main attractions of Curepipe include the local landscapes and parks. The greatest interest of tourists is aroused by the extinct Trou aux Cerfs crater, in which there is a damp forest. The Curepipe Botanical Garden and the Le Morne Brabant leisure park are great places for walks.
