Užupis

Zarzecze is the smallest district of Vilnius, separated from the Old Town by the Wilenka River. Interestingly, its inhabitants declared their independence in 1997 - since then it has been a place symbolizing the cultural spirit of the city. It is considered an ideal place for intellectuals, artists and thinkers to find the right entertainment for themselves.
