In Palanga, there is a sculpture of Jūratė and Kastytis, the heroes of the famous Lithuanian legend about love, loyalty and devotion. The monument by Nijolės Gaigalaitė is located on a promenade eagerly visited by tourists and locals, and its official unveiling took place in 1961.
