Grey Dunes

The narrow sandy strip of land known as the Curonian Spit is home to the highest migratory sand dunes in Europe. The area is marked as a national park and is under strict protection. Some of the dunes in the past swallowed four villages and two cemeteries, reaching a height of 60 meters.
