Biržai Castle

The history of the castle in Birże dates back to the 15th century, when a small wooden fortress stood here. In the sixteenth century, Mikołaj Radziwiłł "Rudy" built a completely new, renaissance residence, which over the following centuries was alternately devastated and rebuilt. Today, there is a museum inside the palace.
