The Tel Aviv District is surrounded by the Central District and includes a small but well-developed Mediterranean strip. There is a modern city of Tel Aviv and the port of Jaffa with climatic, Muslim districts.
Tel Aviv is one of the largest cities in Israel. It is also a city of culture, art and modern architecture. It is famous for its museums, galleries, as well as murals and entertainment districts. Downtown Tel Aviv with Bauhaus-style buildings is on the UNESCO list.
The region's main attraction is its coast. Sandy beaches stretch for many kilometers here. Along them you can find modern hotels, numerous restaurants, clubs and cafes.
The old port of Jaffa and the surrounding Muslim districts have a completely different character. In the narrow streets there is one of the largest bazaars in Israel, which is dominated by spices, vegetables and fruits, as well as handicrafts.
However picturesque is the district called Yemenite Quarter with a bazaar, small restaurants and numerous murals. Small artist studios, studios and proprietary shops can also be found in the Neve Tzedek district and in the former port district of Namal.
