The Séné marshes were protected in 1996 to preserve the nesting and resting places for birds. In the area of 530 hectares, 30 species of mammals, 300 species of birds, 76 species of butterflies and dragonflies were counted. The marshes are cut by nature trails that lead to special bird sheds.
