Quai Hippolyte Bouchard

The promenade surrounding the port is a cluster of hundreds of restaurants, cafes and hotels. The street has four patrons: the Argentine pirate Hippolyt Bouchard (1780-1837), the communist Gabriel Péri (1902-1941) murdered by the Nazis, the pacifist Jean Jaurès (1859-1911) shot by the nationalists and the family of the Marques de Suffren.
