In the place where Joan d'Arc was interrogated before being burned at the stake, there is now a museum with the painting "The Last Communion of Joan of Arc", which was painted in 1899 by Charles-Henri Michel. The tower itself is a remnant of a 12th-century castle, demolished in 1591.
