After the Saint-Remi basilica, it is the oldest surviving church in Reims. The temple was built around the 12th century. In the years 1793-1802 the church served as a stable and barracks. In 1854, architect Narcisse Brunette rebuilt it. It was also seriously damaged during World War I. In 2010, new Benoît Marq aurora stained glass windows were installed.
