Two 12th-century keep, connected by walls erected in the 15th century, are the remains of a mighty fortress, which was mostly demolished in the 17th century. The castle served as a prison and municipal archive. Currently, it houses an archaeological exhibition, an exhibition devoted to the production of chamois leather and gloves, and there is a viewing gallery on the roof.
