Park of Fontainebleau
Local name: Parc du Château de Fontainebleau
The 80-hectare park, crossed by numerous canals and planted with pines, elms and fruit trees, is the work of Claude Mollet, Henry IV's court gardener. The park and forests surrounding the royal residence at Fontainebleau were one of the favorite hunting spots of the French monarchs.
