The first fort on a rocky islet was built in the middle of the Sixteenth century after the plunder of the city of Morlaix, which was carried out in 1522 by English soldiers dressed as merchants. The fortress, surrounded by a 6.5-meter wall, could reach all units entering the bay with the fire of its cannons. Currently, it is a historic building, presenting its own history from the sixteenth to the twentieth century.
