A museum dedicated to hand-embroidered Bayeux fabric - one of the few examples of secular Romanesque art. The canvas presents the daily life of the inhabitants of the then Normandy during the reign of King Edward the Confessor, the battle of Hastings and the appearance of Comet Halley. The fabric has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Memory list.
