Finlayson Church in Tampere was built of red brick in a neo-Gothic style in 1879. It was originally intended for employees of the Finlayson Textile Factory, who made up nearly half of the city's population and formed their own prayer gathering. Until 1982, the factory had its own priest.
As a curiosity, it is worth mentioning that Finlayson Church is currently the only children's church in the country. At the altar there is a Children's Bible. There are no regular services here, but the temple is a popular venue for weddings and church concerts.
