The Mannerheim Museum in Helsinki is located in the house where Baron G. Mannerheim, the Marshal of Finland and the President of Finland from 1944-1946, lived from 1924 to 1951. It is devoted to his life and political activities. The museum can only be visited in the presence of a guide.
The interior reflects the original look of the rooms from the early 1940s. Here you can see Mannerheim's book collection, his personal belongings, portraits of ancestors and numerous hunting trophies. The three rooms on the first floor have traditional exhibitions with showcases containing medals, decorations, uniforms and documents relating to the modern history of Finland.
