Sibelius Childhood Home
Local name: Sibelius Childhood Home
The Sibelius House is located in the city of Hämeenlinna, where the Finnish composer lived the first twenty years of his life. Since 1965, it has housed a museum devoted to the life and work of a musician. Small concerts are also organized here on a regular basis.
The interior of the house was arranged in such a way as to reflect its appearance as faithfully as possible in the 1860s, when the Sibelius family lived here. During the tour, you can see the living room, four rooms, a hall and a staircase. Antique white tiled stoves and paintings adorning the ceilings attract attention.
