The Finnish Haltia Nature Center is located in Espoo, adjacent to the Nuuksio National Park. There you can see an exhibition devoted to Finnish national parks with particular emphasis on Nuuksio. The most important work is Osmo Rauhala's Game Theory. Special exhibitions devoted to various aspects of nature are organized here on a regular basis.
In the center there is a hiking and camping equipment rental and a campsite. You can also visit the restaurant and the gift shop.
The building of the center has been designed in accordance with the principles of sustainable ecological construction. Wood, copper and stone were used for its construction. It was the first public utility building in Finland to be constructed entirely of solid wood.
