Araucanía is a picturesque region in Chile, home to the famous center of active tourism, Pucon. It is a land of volcanoes and lakes, an ideal place for lovers of mountain hiking, canoeing, rafting and wonderful views.

The heart of the region and the main tourist base is the city of Pucon, located at the foot of the Villarrica volcano. But there are many other volcanoes in the region that are both a sightseeing attraction and a trekking destination. The more important ones are Llaima Volcano and Lonquimay Volcano.

Apart from volcanoes, the presence of dozens of smaller and larger lakes makes Araucanía attractive. Their intense blue waters, in which the snow-capped peaks are reflected, look phenomenal. Numerous rivers and mountain streams are an ideal place for rafting and canoeing, while the trails leading to waterfalls and viewpoints provide extraordinary experiences and panoramas that will be remembered for a long time.
