The English Monastery

The monastery and the adjacent church are treasures of Baroque art. The church was built in the second half The eighteenth century is distinguished by a lavish high altar, magnificent stained glass windows and frescoes covering the vault. Noteworthy is the statue of Thomas Kempist (1380-1471) - a German theologian and mystic whose teachings underpinned the rules of the order.
