Belgian pier

The 350-meter pier was built in 1933 in the art deco style according to the design of Jules Soete - it replaced the first, cast-iron structure from 1894. In the pavilion at the end of the pier a nature exhibition dedicated to the flora and fauna of the North Sea was located.
