Acantilados de Maro-Cerro Gordo is a 12 km long protected area that encompasses high cliffs on the edge of the Sierra Almijara. The landscape is diversified with waterfalls, picturesque bays and sandy beaches (Maro and El Cañuelo). The area is also famous for caves such as Cueva de los Genoveses and Cueva de la Cajilla.
