The port is located near the mouth of the Lea River and is protected by a breakwater. It is mainly a fishing port with several dozen berths that are equipped with access to water, electricity and fuel. There are several restaurants and bars in the harbor area. There is also a fish market selling fresh fish, caught by local fishermen.
