The 14th-century stronghold performed its defensive functions until 1685, when the participants of the Kuruc Uprising defended themselves here. After conquering the fortress, the Habsburg army carried out its planned destruction. Currently, the castle is a picturesque ruin - a hiking destination and a great vantage point.
