Stenshuvud-Nationalpark

Lokaler Name: Stenshuvuds nationalpark

The Stenshuvud National Park (Stenshuvud Nationalpark) covers an area of 3.9 km² and is located in the Skåne region. The Stenshuvud hill is one of the most important points in its area. Deciduous forests and moors dominate the park. Traces of settlement from the 5th century (stone fort) have been found here. Several hiking trails lead through the park.

Tourists can take advantage of the information center at the main entrance to the park, facing Södra Mellby. An interesting exhibition with archaeological and natural objects has been created there.

According to local legends, mythical creatures - trolls and giants - lived on Stenshuvud Hill in the old days. Today its peak is a place willingly visited by tourists. Hornbeams and beeches dominate the local forests.
