Ekopark Christinehof, Schloss

Lokaler Name: Christinehof Slott

The Christinehof Castle was built in the years 1737–1741 in the German Baroque style. It has three storeys, mansard roofs and small wings on both sides of the main body of the building. The castle can be visited alone or in the company of a guide. It is worth mentioning that all guides wear costumes stylized as those from the 18th century.

The castle was named after Christina Piper, who bought the property in 1725 and on whose initiative the castle was built. She was one of the most distinguished Scandinavian women of her time, successfully managing her husband, Carl Piper, fortune and business. One of the permanent exhibitions in the castle is dedicated to Christina's life and work.

In the castle there is a cozy cafe and a gift shop. There you can buy books, porcelain, napkins and unique jewelry, all referring to the castle itself and the 18th century atmosphere.
