The church is part of the monastery complex of the Philippines fathers. It is considered to be one of the most beautiful baroque churches in the region, its style refers to the church of St. Anna in Krakow. The miraculous painting of the Holy Family located in the main altar is worshiped here.
The baroque church was erected in 1688-1724 on the site of an earlier, much smaller church. When visiting the huge interior (it can hold up to 3,000 people), it is worth paying attention to the polychrome by Father Adam Swach from 1726. In 1974, the church was elevated to the rank of a minor basilica.
The sanctuary and the miraculous painting of the Filipinos have been taken care of since 1674. The monastery was built in the mid-18th century. There is also a Retreat House and a Pilgrim House.
