Mini-Freilichtmuseum in Łowicz
Lokaler Name: Mini skansen w Łowiczu
The mini open-air museum (Outdoor Folk Architecture Center) organized in the garden of the Museum in Łowicz is a place where historic structures from the former Duchy of Łowicz are exhibited.
The buildings in the open-air museum are wooden structures of both the residential and economic type. Two homesteads were created from them: an 18th-century open-type and a 19th-century closed homestead. The exhibition also includes antique equipment, traditional appliances and carts used in the past in typical Lowicz rural farms.
In the area of the Folk Architecture Outdoor Center, there are also hives and flower beds with plants used in folk medicine. The mini-museum also serves as a venue for cultural and historical events, including various workshops and shows.
