Raptawicka-Höhle

One of the caves available for tourists, located in the Kościeliska Valley in the Western Tatras. It is 150 meters long (without ceiling parts) and consists of a large main chamber located just behind the entrance opening and several side corridors. The cave does not have a dripstone form, but it is distinguished by its picturesque location. Its interior is inhabited by bats.

The route to the Raptawicka Cave has been marked with a black trail leading from the bottom of the Kościeliska Valley. It is secured in fragments with a chain. To get inside the cave, you also need to descend a four-meter ladder.

The Raptawicka Cave was discovered probably at the end of the 19th century. Its further exploration showed that it is connected with the neighboring caves - Mylna and Obłazkowa - within one system.
