The reserve is a protected natural area, more precisely a natural park with provincial. It covers an area of 361.70 ha at an altitude of 1.013 to 1.602 meters. There is fauna typical of the mountain area with a pronounced presence of ungulates such as roe deer, wild boar and chamois.
