The shoe museum is located inside the Sforzesco Castle. The gallery was established in the 1950s on the initiative of historian Luigi Barnie. It was dedicated to Pietro Bertolini, the first donor of an extraordinary collection of footwear from around the world. The collection includes items belonging to historical figures, as well as shoes from Italian fashion designers.
