The botanical gardens are an attraction managed by the University of Genoa. The gardens were founded by Sir Thomas Hanbury on a small, steep peninsula 103 meters above the level of the Mediterranean Sea. For many years, the park's landscape was created in collaboration with renowned botanists and landscape designers. The main collections are agaves, aloe and sage, as well as other plants that live in the Mediterranean climate.
