Built at the turn of the 10th and 11th centuries, the Romanesque basilica stands on the site of the early Christian church of St. Peter and Paul, it is a building on an oblong plan with a massive, square tower-ward, adjacent to the side wall. The interior is devoid of ornaments and decorations. Under the church floor there is a crypt with mosaics from the mid-5th century, which proves the existence of an early Christian temple in this place.
